The SIR28FD is a 8-string S series Iron Label solid body electric guitar released in 2014. Features include a mahogany body, a Nitro Wizard-8 neck and a rosewood fretboard with binding. Other features include DiMarzio pickups and a Gibraltar Standard-8 bridge. A similar 6-string model, the SIR70FD was released concurrently. The S Series has been pleasing guitarists and crowds alike since 1987 – when the “Saber” series arrived on the market with it’s sleek contours and super fast, think necks. At the time they certainly had the thinnest neck of the entire Ibanez catalog – measuring in at 17mm at fret one.
The SIR27FD is a seven string S series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 2013. It was produced in Indonesia as one of the first guitars in the metal-focused Iron Label line. The SIR27FD features a sculpted mahogany body bolted to a maple and bubinga Nitro Wizard-7 neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and no inlays.
The Iron Label series is a line of solid body electric guitars produced for Hoshino Gakki and sold under the Ibanez brand. The line is marketed with the tagline "Metal to the Core" with a focus on fulfilling the needs and desires of metal guitarists. The first Iron Label models were introduced for 2013.
